Pete:

I know it is tough out there in the trenches. And I know banks have all tightened up considerably on floor plans. Hopefully winter boat shows will generate some sales and kick start business for 2010. The trick is to hang in there until spring.

I hear that a big floor planning company raised its interest rates a bunch. I also heard that banks have a strong reluctance to finance boat inventory. Most banks do not understand the marine industry and big dealers going bankrupt have not helped the situation. Smaller local banks are easier to educate but don't expect easy going with the economy being as strange as it is.

I'm still getting lots of shoppers but many buyers are waiting until spring . . . . . .
